John B. Forrest, MD, FACS

Dr. John Forrest is a board certified Urologist who has been with Urologic Specialists of Oklahoma for over twenty six years. Dr. Forrest received his B.A. from the University of Tulsa and his M.D. from the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Forrest then performed a residency in general surgery and Urology at the University of Virginia. This was followed by an American Cancer Society Fellowship in Urologic Oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Institute in New York City. Dr. Forrest is currently President of the South Central Section of the American Urological Association and Chairman of the Practice Guidelines Committee of the American Urological Association, the national parent organization. Dr. Forrest is also a Trustee of the American Board of Urology and will be President of the Board in 2012-2013. Dr. Forrest is past Chief of Staff of St. John Medical Center in Tulsa. In 2005 Dr. Forrest received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the University of Tulsa and was on the Board of Trustees of the University from 1994 to 1999. Dr. Forrest has authored or co-authored over sixty articles or published abstracts. He has a special interest in urologic malignances and interstitial cystitis.
