Curt R. Powell, MD, FACS
Dr. Curtis R. Powell is a recognized expert in the areas of
urinary incontinence, female urology and reconstructive urologic
surgery.
He has lectured extensively on the topics of urinary
incontinence and female urology. He has over 16 published
journal articles and abstracts. He also has served as the head of
the Urology section at St. John Medical Center, and is a past
President of the Oklahoma State Urologic Association. Dr. Powell is
a member of the American Urologic Association, American
Urogynecologic Society, Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive
Surgeons, Society of Government Service Urologists, Tulsa County
Medical Society and the Tulsa Surgical Society.
Dr. Powell received his medical degree from the Uniformed
Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda,
Maryland. He completed his residency in Urology at the Naval
Medical Center in San Diego, California. This was followed by
advanced training in his sub-specialty in neurourology,
reconstruction and incontinence, at the University of Michigan in
Ann Arbor, Michigan. He also was head of the Division of Female
Urology and the Assistant Program Director for the Urology
Residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. He also
served as the Specialty Leader for Urology for the United States
Navy.
